The keynote ends.The conversation begins.
Every session ends the same way: the stage dissolves. Speakers and audience move to the kitchen together. No VIP areas, no backstage, no hierarchy. Ministers, scientists, investors and students cook side by side. At the ISA this becomes the principle of the day: from 13:00, every panel ends with ten minutes of Kitchen Talk, and the conversation continues standing at the kitchen counter, with students and guests. From 19:20 the Grand Space Club Kitchen opens: kitchen islands across the whole campus instead of conference tables.
The stage divides. The table connects.
Where it comes from
In 2021 and 2022 the Space Club Kitchen flew to the International Space Station with ESA astronaut Dr. Matthias Maurer, together with celebrity chef Tim Mälzer and star violinist David Garrett, in cooperation with ESA. What held true in space holds true here: even under the most extreme conditions, people need a table. A place where hierarchies fall and real conversations begin.
